A coffee shop that spotlights the coffee farm
Service: Plant Design
Location: NYT Building
LIVIN teamed up with Starbucks to bring to life its new location in the New York Times building—a space with design limitations due to heavy foot traffic. Therefore, rather than installing live, lush plants, LIVIN created three plant sculptures made with preserved moss, carved foam and hand-painted faux trees—embodying the green hillscapes where the coffee is sourced from.
Fun fact: The foam used in the structure is foam that is used to insulate homes—making it a very sturdy base.
